Rainbow monkeys in Frida's garden
Legend has it that Frida Kahlo had a collection of colorful alebrije monkeys in her art studio, which she herself had created with her own hands. These fantastic animals were the personification of the creative and wild spirit that lived in the artist's heart.
It was said that when Frida needed inspiration for her paintings, she would call on the alebrije monkeys to accompany her in her creative process. The animals responded enthusiastically, filling the studio with their colors and vibrant energy, helping the artist find new forms of expression.
Alebrije monkeys were the guardians of art and imagination in Frida's world, and it was said that their spirits continued to inhabit her studio after her death, protecting and nurturing the artistic legacy of the great Mexican master.
